Amanda’s interest for the beauty industry developed early on. Growing up in Brazil her parents owned beauty supplies stores and Amanda watched and helped her family run the business while discovering her love for everything beauty-related.

Amanda joined the Waxing Spot in 2010 shortly after its opening. She initially learned the art of waxing directly from the Waxing Spot founders Veri and Rosemery and later attended classes to get additional professional training and obtain her waxing license.

While working at The Waxing Spot, Amanda attended WCSU, she graduated with honors and a Bachelor’s in Accounting in 2014. Over the past 6 years Amanda has developed long lasting relationships with clients and co-workers. Her attention to detail and strong people skills have helped her thrive in both careers. Amanda now divides her time between working as an accountant in private equity and working part time as a body waxing specialist at The Waxing Spot. (She calls us her ‘fun’ job).

Amanda has a passion for the outdoors and photography. Her interests include hiking, running, volleyball, and soccer.

Kelly started off in the beauty industry as a receptionist at a salon and spa. There she discovered her passion for skin care.  She later went to The Institute of Esthetic Arts and Sciences in Southbury Connecticut and became a licensed esthetician. While working at other establishments, waxing became Kelly's forte. After joining the Waxing Spot, Kelly's excellence really started to shine through with her "perfect" eyebrows. Kelly is a perfectionist in eyebrow shaping, and tinting as well as excelling in all other services.

Rachel is a waxing veteran who has been in the beauty industry since she was a young girl.  Growing up with a mother who was a hairdresser and a sister who managed salons, she was always into the latest beauty trends.

A certified aesthetician, Rachel worked at a successful salon and spa for many years before she realized waxing was her passion.  With a background in skincare Rachel is very aware of all skin and hair types so your waxing experience is as quick and painless as possible.  Rachel loves meeting new people and thanks to her charismatic personality, you will always feel comfortable and have a good laugh.

Zona is a multi-talented beauty enthusiast. She is a spray tan technician, professional makeup artist and waxing specialist. Zona obtained her makeup artistry certification while working for MAC cosmetics and graduated from Brio Academy with her license in skin care and body waxing. 

Her interest in the beauty industry began at a young age when she started shaping brows and applying makeup for her family members. She soon discovered she had the eye and natural talent for everything beauty related. Her passion lies in mastering a perfectly symmetrical, distinctive look for all of her clients - accentuating the natural beauty in each individual face, yet liberating your personal and unique style. Zona’s goal as an eyebrow specialist is to repair, maintain and most importantly give you the shape that best suits your face while also taking your preference into consideration. 

Zona takes great pride in her work and is a perfectionist when it comes to shaping brows. Whether she is shaping your brows, applying the prettiest wink, or giving you the best golden tan; Zona leverages her expertise and ambition to create a flawless look. When she is not at work, zona enjoys being a mother, wife and spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies are cooking, shopping, reading and home decorating.

Daniela is originally from Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.  At the age of fourteen she moved to Connecticut with her family. While trying to adjust to her new life she learned a lot of things on her own, including waxing.  

After practicing her skills on friends and family she realized how much she enjoyed waxing. To improve her technique she enrolled in cosmetology school. Now with more than 10 years of experience, Daniela still gets excited to make her clients feel beautiful.

Being a waxing esthetician and eyebrows designer at The Waxing Spot allows her to connect with people doing what she loves best. 

As a newlywed Daniela spends her time with her loving husband and enjoys decorating her new home.

After finishing her associate’s degree at NCC Brittany decided to complete her studies in political science at The University of Connecticut in Stamford.  She joined our team in the spring of 2013 adding a relaxed but reliable feel to our reception.  Brittany is well versed in many skills having worked as a waitress, caterer and babysitter around the area making her an approachable and trustworthy team member.  Although she is young Brittany is a hard working ambitious woman who is well beyond her years.

Brittany has a passion for art history and drawing and in her free time devotes herself to cycling, working out, skiing and drawing.
